We often get asked, how did you come up the brand name, Ryde?
It's a weird one really.
It all started with a nickname, metaphor and an acronym. Which sounds a bit like one of those jokes when you have 3 different characters walk into a bar.
What is pro-visiblity?
In the grips of lockdown, the 'great British outdoors' opened its arms to newcomers. People seeking fresh air, a change of scenery. But with that came risks…

Alec Richardson: Bristol Channel Swim
I am under no illusion that this was the greatest swim ever. For a bit of perspective, I have recently read Sean Conway's 'Hell And High Water' so in comparison, I don't think that a designation of 'epic' could be bestowed on my adventure which finished on the beach, at lunchtime, with a sandwich and a mug of tea.'
